Who better to review a game about modern warfare than world leaders? During Ahmadenijad's controversial visit to the United Nations, posters were placed around New York City asking him to review the game. Next, video game reviews "created" by the world leaders were seeded on sites like Break, IGN, YouTube and GameTrailers. We even figured out a way for gamers to go head-to-head with Vladimir "ShootinPutin187" Putin on XboxLive, a first in the world of video games. All content was housed on World Leader Reviews where gamers could share the videos, download wallpaper and buddy icons.
In the end, the campaign helped Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare become the best-selling game of 2006, beating out the highly anticipated Halo 3.
